It’s done! Ninispixels, my other WordPress place is now in French. We had so many problems! It did not matter whether WordPress was installed using Fantastico or me doing a full install after creating my MYSQL database, it always failed! I tried installng the full French version, I tried installing the English version and then changed the files to make it French, I tried installing the latest version 2.0 and then older ones but nothing worked! There were a few words of French but most of it was in English.
And then yesterday the answer was there in the WordPress French forum. And it was so simple..just a few lines to copy paste in wp-include/gettext.php. And that was it!
Then last night, I just spent a bit of time translating Written by Martine @ 5:40 pm on January 26, 2006.

I can’t believe how much work we have to do..all admin! Copy of this and copy of that! I feel I need a secretary just to handle that side of things!
Teaching has changed so much. It seems like we are moving away from teaching towards filling in paperwork. A bit like the police who have to spend so much time filling in forms after an incident that there comes a time they must be thinking: Wouldn’t it be easier to let it pass!
These days everything has to be accounted for. And is there somebody somewhere who actually sits down and study all these forms?
Nevermind tomorrow is my day off and I am going to make the most of it and try to relax a bit..after having filled in a few forms! I am going to see if I can get Ninispixels into French. There must be an answer somewhere! I am sure somebody in the French WordPress forum must have encountered this problem.

I did a good job today..something I had been wanting to do for quite a while..and that is checking what my sites look like in different screen resolutions. Because my monitor is big, it is something I easily forget. Anyway two looked awful:
First Nini’s Pixels. This one was easy to fix. All I had to do is change the size of the header picture and now it can be viewed by people with a 600×800resolution and it looks fine! I don’t go any lower, there can’t be many people who use smaller sizes still!
And the other one was my pixel site at Martine’s Lil’s Pixels but that took me ages to do because so many things needed fixing. I am nearly there, now, there is a tiny bit of scrollling left at 800×600 but I’ll fix it later today.
