My foot

[fr]

Mon pied! Je me suis fait mal la semaine dernière et puis un élève m'a marché dessus. Il y a une fracture et un petit bout d'os qui se trimballe. Je suis en congé-maladie cette semaine.

Last week I hurt my foot tidying up a room and then the following day a pupil walked on it. It was an accident and at the time, although it hurt, I did not pay much attention to it. However when I got home and took my boot off, I noticed how swollen it was and then it really started to hurt.
Saturday it was so bad that i went to A&E. I had never ever been before! I can’t believe how bad the waiting is. I waited and waited..the whole afternoon in fact! Dreadful! No wonder when people go abroad they always comment on how quickly you are seen!
The X-ray showed there was a fracture and some bone is loose. But there was nothing they could do and time will heal!
Yesterday I had trouble finding a boot to fit but managed it! However the pain was so incredibly bad that I arranged an appointment at the doctor’s for after school.
She agreed it did not look nice and said I should not have gone to school, that I should take the week off and avoid standing on my foot. I am to go back next Monday to see how things are.
So I have an unexpected week off. At least I don’t have to worry about finding a shoe and I do not have to stand on this foot. It still hurts even when not on it but I hope that it will give it a chance to heal more quickly this way.

Mid-May already!

[fr]

Les filles viennent nous voir! Je me suis inscrite à d'autres groupes. Mon dernier tuto a bien marché! Lysa toujours hors-ligne!

[en]

But my easy one! Not so many lessons this time! Kim is coming tomorrow with Jon and Steph Wednesday. We won’t see much of Steph with her finals in a couple of weeks but it will be nice to know she is here, and there’s meal-times and evenings!
I have joined a few more graphics places, this is such an addiction of mine, I say I won’t anymore and then I do! As if I wasn’t a member of enough already!
My last tutorial for my PSP group was a real success. I am pleased about this, because the tut had been lying unfinished for months and I did not know at all how it would go down. But people have enjoyed it and we saw some very beautiful results.
Lysa, if you do read this, I am thinking of you with no connection! How awful! I hope you get back on line quick, it’s odd when you are not around!

New week

[fr]

Dure semaine: deux jours d'examen oraux! Le temps est reparti à la pluie!

[en]

It’s my hard one. We have a timetable which is on two weeks and there is one week when I have hardly any lessons and then this one, with many more. On two of the days, I will be doing GCSE Orals all day. That’s quite tiring, because
the exam is recorded and for each candidate there is a lot of things to remember, so you do stress a bit in case you forget something but more important, I am on a very tight schedule and seeing a lot of candidates each day.
Weather is not nice today, rain and clouds..what a change! We have had such nice weather over the last few days.
I have finally got the new tagboard as I want it but, and I don’t know why, the header has disappeared: the bit that says :: Tagboard ::. It’s there but does not show on the page. I am not sure why. :ponder_tb: It does show in Firefox though. Another IE mystery :question_ee:
