Les inspecteurs sont repartis et nous ont donné "satifaisant"! Nous avons fait des progrés dans tous les domaines sauf 1 où il y avait des problèmes!

The inspectors, that is! And the report this time for the whole school was Satisfactory…so we are on the up! Everybody was observed in our department and we all did OK. He praised me on several points but said I should use the target language more!
I am so glad it is over, the last few days have been so busy with making sure all my marking was up-to-date and preparing lessons and it is now that it is all behind me that I realize that Yes you do get stressed, because tonight I feel so different!
Ian is away so we will go out tonight..no cooking, relaxing starts now!

Steph a sa licence avec la mention qu'elle voulait: Bien! Et la remise du diplôme c'est jeudi prochain. Un peu moins excitant, c'est la semaine de l'inspection! Alors je vais être en retard pour la mise à jour de mon site!

Steph has done it! She has got her Law degree, the one she wanted: a 2.1. That’s the equivalent of a high B, (un “Bien” in France) she is over the moon as it opens up many more options as to what she will be able to do next and we are delighted for her! Steph works very very hard and this result is 100% deserved! Graduation is next week on Thursday.

On a less exciting note, it is the dreaded “Inspection” week and I can’t wait for it to be over! Today I am going to be planning my lessons.
So I am going to be a bit late with the monthly update of my site but that’s unavoidable! So I’ll be receiving emails asking where the calendars are..always makes me smile this. People hardly ever write to say thank you but if I am just one day late I get contacted about them not being there!

I forgot to write

On se prépare pour notre inspection cette semaine! Encore des carnets (dans les 60!)! Et Steph aura ses résultats (Licence en droit) cette semaine et bonne nouvelle pour elle: elle a trouvé un emploi dans une "Law firm" qui commence demain: expérience et argent de côté!

Gosh..I don’t seem to be writing in here very often these days! The girls are at home and I tend to spend time with them. I also have a lot of work for school: Reports and this week the inspection – Yes, they are back! and all the preparation that goes with this. We must be ready, that is all our marking must be up to date, and of course we have to plan our lessons even more thoroughly than usual! I know what I will be doing but it still needs to be put in writing. And then for the 5th, I have another 60-odd reports to do! So a lot to do still before we break up, and that seems a long way away!
One of the people in our department has been off with stress for about 4 weeks now, we would all be surprized if she came back before the end of term! She was meant to be back this week but with the inspection, it is highly unlikely.
We have now booked our crossing to go over to France at the beginning of August. We will go to my Mum’s in Lyon and we will also spend a week in the east at my cousin’s. He is French and married to an English girl.
Important week for steph too, she is getting her Law degreee results and I hope she gets the results she wants as she has been working very hard over the last three years. The better her result, the more options she will have. She really wants a 2.1. She is thrilled because she’s got a job (temporary work) in a Law firm, starting tomorrow! Could not be better, will give her the experience that is so important these days!
