Rain, Rain, Rain, Go away!
|
|
Yes I think of this popular nursery rhyme poem, several times a day! Summer? Did you say Summer? Where?
This has got to be one of the wettest early Summer on record, well if not, certainly since I have been living here! And it does not look as if it is going to stop. Even today, I get up to beautiful sunshine and blue skies and now, at luch time, it’s already overcast, with only a little bit of blue here and there.
So today I have found a little quiz.
And that’s me! LOL! I certainly prefer Sunshine to Rain!
You Are Sunshine
|

Soothing and calm
You are often held up by others as the ideal
But too much of you, and they’ll get burned
You are best known for: your warmth
Your dominant state: connecting

[fr] On est de retour! Gite et compagnie excellents! Des visites variées et toutes intéressantes! Liens dessous dans la section en anglais. [en] We are back! The holiday was fantastic. First the gite Les Chaix was superb, even better than in the brochure. A very large house with all mod cons, really spacious rooms and in a beautiful setting. The view was amazing and it was so nice seating outside to eat! We had time to visit several places: Les Grottes de Saint Marcel d’Ardèche; a snail farm – that was interesting but rather disgusted our two daughters who now say they will not eat snails again! And we went to the Musée de l’Alambique. We also vivited a beautiful Lavender farm with a museum. The visit was most interesting and the lavender fields so very beautiful.
We had great food and plenty to drink, well not me. I don’t drink much! And the company was great!
We then moved on to the East for 3 days to spend time with my cousin who is married to an English woman. The weather was not very nice but it was nice to see them all.
While there we visited Strutof. It was my first visit of a War Camp, it was horrible, you read books about it but actually visiting a camp really hits hard! And this camp is in absolutely beautiful surroundings, so much beauty to accompany the most horrific sufferings! It is hard to believe that human beings are capable of this!
And as always when on holiday, I read! I read in the car and before going to sleep. I also went and bought several books in French to bring back!
